VAKO guarantees the highest level of testing reliability for hydrogen storage vessels with a comprehensive manufacturing and testing process.
We use 100% of all common and possible testing methods such as Ultrasonic – (UT) / Radiographic – (RT) / Magnetic Particle Examination (MT), and if requested TOFD and PA / UT – Examination.
As an – add on – to the Code requirements our large internal requirements (more than the Design Codes requires) have to be fulfilled, in order to ensure a safe hydrogen operation. Detailed individual inspections guarantee, that every hydrogen storage storage vessel meets the highest safety standards.
These extensive and specific tests lead to a maximum safety during the entire operation and avoids potential risks.
Our customers can benefit from the reliability and safety of our products, even under the most demanding operating conditions.
With our additional unique VAKO testing concept, we enable recurring inspections performed from outside – during the operation process – within the stipulated time frame of legally and national required intervals for recurrent inspections.
On October 23 and 24, 2024, the Hydrogen Technology Expo Europe took place in Hamburg, the world’s leading trade fair for hydrogen technologies.
Our participation at the expo was a great success for VAKO. We were able to present tailored solutions for hydrogen storage pressure vessels to visitors at the event.
The recognition by the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code was published in March 2000 by ONE / TÜV / BV.
With the recognition of ASME, VAKO has once again demonstrated its strength and power. The experience can be used and is helpful for our customers in the international competition.

In an inconspicuous village, the energy company Iberdrola has launched a project worth billions. 20 megawatts are just the beginning. Not a single person will work in the plant.
Puertollano.
Erstpublikation: 31.05.2022, 12:30 Uhr
The Spanish call it the village of two lies: Puertollano, which translates as “flat harbor,” has neither a port nor is the region 250 kilometers south of Madrid flat, but rather lined with hills. But the investors who have set up shop here are apparently not superstitious. They have chosen the village of 48,000 inhabitants to play an important role in the future of Spain and possibly Europe: as a pioneer in the production of green hydrogen.
In mid-May, Spanish energy company Iberdrola commissioned an electrolyzer with a capacity of 20 megawatts in Puertollano, right next to the Fertiberia fertilizer plant, to meet part of its energy needs.
This makes the project the largest production plant for green hydrogen in the whole of Europe to date.
