Since our foundation 1968 the family company VAKO, located in Kreuztal (near Siegen) is a top address for a high-quality production of pressure vessels of any types and employs 50 competent and continously educated experts.
We are specialized in manufacturing individual vessels for hydrogen storage and hydrogen production (H2 Adsorbers) on our 25.000 m² area including large storage areas.
Our skilled employees take care with their long time “know-how“, a professional project management and a modern machinery park for a large manufacturing depth. We are able to plan, construct, design and manufacture oversized products.

We are in the possession of approvals and certificates e.g. AD-2000 Leaflet HPO, DIN EN 3834, ASME Certification Mark (U-Stamp), TR CU 0032/2013, §19 WHG, etc. Since the year 1993 we established a quality management system acc. to DIN EN ISO 9001. Our management system is certified acc. to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 since September 2018 by TÜV CERT. Furthermore we are qualified and certified acc. to ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Section VIII, Div. 1, with “Certification Mark“ (former U-Stamp) since the year 2000.
Non-destructive-testing, internal and external supervision, project management:
VAKO stands for 100% quality and expert based manufacturing. Every single component is subject to an extensive internal and external supervision in respect to material and weld quality. Non-destructive-testing as well as testing coupons for destructive testing ensure the requested product quality.

Since the year 2014, we offer for the protection of your products surface treatments and paint applications in our facilities with a ground area of 1.000 m². In our closed free-working sandblasting cabine with 21 m length x 7 m width x 6 m height your metallic and non-metallic components will be protected against corrosion by grit blasting acc. to DIN EN ISO 12944 in quality levels SA 2, SA 2,5 and SA 3, blasting with ferrit-free materials and blasting with glass beads (sweeping).
